The highly successful economic growth of Jáchymov in the 16th century led to the rapid development of outstanding architecture in the town, which is characterised by historical monuments from the late Gothic and Renaissance periods. The first solely Protestant church in the Kingdom of Bohemia was built in Jáchymov. Of particular note are the former royal mint, the town hall, the Church of St. Joachim, the All Saints’ Hospital Church, and a row of townhouses in the town centre.
