The line of heaps occurs in association with several ore veins striking in the same direction (north-south). They distinguish in between dip and mineralization. The line of heaps starts with a single heap on open field, approximately 200 m east of the three crosses, extends over a length of 1.7 km und ends at the large heap of the Beschert Glück Fundgrube mine. Small heaps in the northern sections of the vein belonged to the Herzog August mine, similar small heaps in the south to the Beschert Glück Fundgrube mine. Situated in the mid of the line, the Drei Brüder Schacht (shaft) was sunk and operated for both mines, but later overtaken by the Beschert Glück Fundgrube mine.
