Restorated in 2004 the main adit mouth in classical style represents the largest and most magnificent of the Freiberg mining district. The front wall holds decorative elements and pilasters which are made of sandstone, so are the cover slabs and the elliptical adit mouth itself. Any other masonry is made of gneiss rubble stone. Two cast iron boards with hammer and chisel symbols and name inscription are placed on top of the adit mouth. The massive, twin-sashed iron door leads to a small anteroom. From there a stair leads down to the level of the adit.
