The Eisenhütte Erlahammer ironworks was located in the administrative district of the town of Schwarzenberg. The mid-17th century manor is testament to the importance of the iron production and processing works in former times. In its immediate vicinity lies the Rother Berg Mining Landscape, where, as far back as the mid-13th century, haematite was extracted and moved along an ore transportation route to Erlahammer for further processing.
