Starting at the adit mouth the Thelersberger Stolln (adit) follows the far extending geological fault of the name Stolln Spat (vein). The spatial association of ore veins with rock faulting initially allowed a fast progressing development heading, but later required elaborate ground support. Non-stable mine workings and intensely affected areas near shafts and extraction sites have been supported for long-term. The widely occurring masonry or ground support of the adit can be distinguished with regard to the materials applied (rubble stone, clinker, profile iron). The Thelersberg Stolln (adit) stands exemplary for its masonry and therefore is not only an important mining historical object, but also an overwintering area for approximately 3,000 bats.
