In the area below the cable railway at the Komáří hůrka (skeeter hill) the modern 20th century workings on feldspar-molybdenum are accompanied by a number of historical workings from the 18th to 19th century, in places older. The Zwickenpinge pit accounts for the most important of this kind and represents a late medieval opencast mine measuring 50 x 35 m. In 1913 the pit has been explored again and the Gewelbter adit was developed underneath.
