The Pöhlberg Mining Landscape is an example of the silver and copper ore mining that developed within the rural area on the eastern slopes of the Pöhlberg mountain, near the mining town of Annaberg-Buchholz. These unique historical artefacts and mine workings, dating mainly from the 15th to the 18th centuries, are directly linked with the processing of silver-containing copper ore at the Grünthal Liquation Works.
