The lime works, located in a forested landscape between the communities of Háj near Loučná pod Klínovcem and Kovářská (Stolzenhain and Schmiedeberg), is the most important preserved evidence of the mining and processing of lime-bearing rocks for lime production in the Czech part of the Erzgebirge. It is an outstanding technical works and the oldest preserved lime works of its kind in the Czech Republic.

Two connected shaft furnaces and the remains of further buildings are preserved from the original building, which was constructed in the mid-19th century by Count Buquoy, the owner of the local estate, and which was functional until the mid 20th century. Behind the lime works is a quarry where dolomite lime was mined.
